- Various references are made to the 1986 film, Aliens, and the classic novel, Dracula. These include characters named Hudson and Hicks, who served as protagonists in Aliens, as well as characters named Stoker and Harker, referencing Bram Stoker, the author of the novel and Jonathan Harker, one of the main protagonists of the novel.
- In Greek mythology, Persephone is the daughter of the goddess Demeter. Notably, the ship Demeter played a crucial role in the Dracula novel when it was used to transport the titular character to England.
