Soteria is a miniature device that, when implanted into the neck of an individual with psychokinetic abilities, inhibits that person's abilities. Henry Creel had such a device inserted into his neck by Dr. Brenner, who probably created the technology. Henry claimed that the device also tracks the implantee's movements: a dubious assertion that may or may not be true.[1]
History[]
1959-1979[]
Fearing that Henry's abilities were growing too strong, Dr. Brenner had the device implanted into Henry's neck to subdue him.
1979[]
Henry told Eleven that the Soteria in his neck was a tracking device that also 'weakened' him. Wishing to help him, Eleven was tricked into ripping the device out with her abilities. Following the device's removal, Creel used his restored abilities to commit a massacre, seemingly killing everyone at the lab besides Eleven and Dr. Brenner.
Description[]
The inhibitor was tiny, metallic, and shaped like a pill-capsule.[1]
Trivia[]
