History[]
1983[]
On the night of November 7, 1983, Mike Wheeler called Lucas Sinclair about Will Byers, using the Supercomm. The boys decided to meet up with Dustin Henderson to search for Will, since Hopper and the volunteers hadn't found anything yet. While in the forest near Mirkwood, the boys found Eleven who had recently escaped Connie Frazier, Martin Brenner and other agents at Benny Hammond's restaurant.[1]
On the morning of November 10, 1983, Mike had communicated with Lucas through the Supercomms, and told him that they needed to meet up and discuss Will, whom Mike and El had previously heard over Mike's walkie singing, "Should I Stay, Or Should I Go?", and Lucas reluctantly left his home to meet up with Mike and his friends.[2]
On November 12, 1983, a day after they had a fight, Dustin went over to Mike's house. Dustin urged Mike to make up with Lucas and go to find Eleven. Mike was hesitant at first, but eventually the two went to Lucas' house. There, Lucas opened the door and asked what they boys wanted. Dustin hit Mike on the shoulder, signaling for him to apologize. Mike did apologize by admitting he drew first blood and gave Lucas his hand to shake. Lucas let the boys inside but refused to Mike's hand, saying he only would if they forgot about the "weirdo" and went straight to the Gate. Mike told him the deal was off. Dustin calmed everyone down by referencing their Dungeons & Dragons quest, "The Bloodstone Path" in which the boys couldn't decide which path to take so they had split up the Party resulting in trolls taking them out one by one. Dustin then went on to tell them that they have to stick together no matter what. Lucas agreed, but told Mike and Dustin that their Party was there in Lucas' living room. Mike told Lucas that El was one of them and Lucas happily disagreed saying that she was a "liar and a traitor," before Mike cut him off, telling him that El was trying to protect them and that she accidentally hurt him the previous day. Lucas questioned whether or not it was an accident and Dustin told him that it was awesome because El threw him with her mind and Lucas told him that she could've killed him. Mike then told the boys that that's exactly why they needed Eleven because she was a weapon and Lucas couldn't defeat the Demogorgon with his wrist rocket. Lucas then told the pair that he wasn't going to waste his time looking for a traitor anymore and that he would go to the gate and find Will by himself and stormed off.[3]
1984[]
On the morning of October 31, 1984, Lucas had dressed in his Venkman costume for Halloween. On the front lawn, his mother took pictures of Lucas in his costume. His sister, Erica made fun of him, calling him a nerd. Lucas' mother told the siblings to stop bickering.[4]
Later on November 3, the Sinclair family sat around the breakfast table and were eating. Sue scolded Erica, who had put too much syrup on her french toast. Erica looked at her mom and told her it wasn't enough. While Charles Sinclair was reading the newspaper, Lucas sparked conversation asking when his mother is mad at his father, how does his father get his mother to not be mad anymore, referring to himself and Max Mayfield, who was upset with Lucas at the time. His mother joined the conversation asking how Charles managed to make her happy again. To which he responded that he apologizes then gets Sue whatever she wants. Lucas asked if he did it even when she was wrong, and his father told him that his mother was never wrong. Lucas then got up and put his food in the kitchen, telling his mother he was going to hang out with Dustin. Outside, he ran to his bike, hopped on and rode past the Henderson home to go see Max at hers.[5]
1985[]
In October, 1985, after leaving the former Byers home, Dustin and Lucas went to the Sinclair home and gave Erica Sinclair a Dungeons & Dragons game set in her bedroom.[6]
1986[]
In March of 1986, Erica was painting a D&D figurine when Jason Carver rang the house's bell. Chastised by Sue, Erica left her room and opened the door. After a short but aggressive conversation with Jason regarding Lucas and Dustin, she shut the door.
