Shannon Purser (born June 27, 1997) is an American actress best known for her portrayal of Barbara Holland in the first season of the Netflix original television series, Stranger Things.

Barb was Shannon's first acting role. Due to the character's popularity, she has gained a level of fame and interest from other TV and film productions. She was very interested in acting when she was young and took part in her school theatrical adaptations.

Barb was confirmed deceased by the Duffer Brothers in an interview with IGN.[1]

She now portrays Ethel Muggs in CW's Riverdale in a recurring role.
