Ms. Kelley, portrayed by Regina Ting Chen, is a recurring character that was introduced in the fourth season of Stranger Things. She is a guidance counselor at Hawkins High School.
History[]
1986[]
On March 21, Ms. Kelley arrived at Hawkins High School and upon noticing Max Mayfield getting off a school bus, she asked her why she did not show up for yesterday's session. Max apologized, saying she forgot yesterday's session and promised to meet with her later today.
Later, Max noticed Chrissy Cunningham walking out of Ms. Kelley's office as she was going to meet with Ms. Kelley. During their session, Max lied to Ms. Kelley, as she told her that she was no longer experiencing headaches, nightmares, and flashbacks when that was not true.
On March 23, Max privately met with Ms. Kelley in her home and asked her if she could see Chrissy's counseling file. Ms. Kelley refused to show her the file, which led to Max stealing the keys to Ms. Kelley's office and leaving the home. Later that night, Max, Dustin Henderson, and Steve Harrington broke in to Ms. Kelley's office, where they learned that Fred Benson had also seen Ms. Kelley prior to his death. Max reads the files of both Chrissy and Fred, and realizes that they had the same symptoms as her leading up to their deaths. Max gathers from this information that she is likely the next target of Vecna, and hallucinates a grandfather clock in the hallway of the school, officially making her a victim of Vecna's curse.

- Due to her connection to the curse victims, some speculated she was secretly connected to Vecna.
- Patrick McKinney seems to be the only curse victim who didn’t have Ms. Kelley as his counselor.
