Miss Dorothy is a side character in the comic one-shot Stranger Things: Erica the Great. She is an elderly woman and neighbor of Erica Sinclair and Tanya.
History[]
Miss Dorothy lived on the same street as the Sinclair family and Tanya. Miss Dorothy held a high opinion of Tanya, whom she found very polite, but a low opinion of Lucas and Erica Sinclair, having heard rumors about what they and their friends were up to. She was also acquainted with Kelly, who sometimes ran errands for her. The girls themselves considered Miss Dorothy to be "strange" and "creepy."
She owned a dog named Daniel.
1985[]
Miss Dorothy greets Sue Sinclair and Erica as they pass by, telling Erica to be more like Tanya and giving her a nickel.
Later that night, she is visited by Tanya who, unbeknownst to her, has been tasked with distracting her as Erica retrieves a bird from her house. Miss Dorothy is impressed that Tanya came to make sure she was alright, though she warns her that Erica is a "rude and stubborn" troublemaker. Tanya fetches her tea as they talk, and then plays a song on the piano until she drifts into sleep. However, as Daniel escapes the house, Miss Dorothy wakes up and laments that he's "too much dog" for her. Tanya grabs his leash and offers to fetch him for her, running off into the night.
Tanya later returns with Daniel, as well as Erica, Kelly and April. Miss Dorothy is upset to find Erica wandering around so late at night, only for Tanya to stand up for her, saying that she'd needed all her friends to catch Daniel. Miss Dorothy decides to take Tanya's word for it and leaves to give Daniel a bath, assuring Erica that she won't call her mother "this time."
