Merrill Wright was a minor character in the second season of Stranger Things. He was a local farmer who owned a pumpkin patch in Hawkins, Indiana. His pumpkin patch was one of the possible locations to the entrance of a series of tunnels that was corrupted by the Upside Down in 1984.
History
1984
The day before Halloween, on October 30, 1984, local farmer Merrill made a report to the Hawkins Police Department that his entire pumpkin patch became contaminated and accused his neighbor Eugene for poisoning his farm.
When Hopper came to investigate the farm, he explained that Eugene originally started the argument regarding the "Pick Your Pumpkin" farming system and suspected Eugene for sending one of his co-workers to contaminate his farm. However, Hopper doubted its possibility.[1]
