“Katinka” is a Kamov Ka-26 helicopter owned by Yuri Ismaylov. Yuri and Dmitri Antonov used the helicopter to retrieve Jim Hopper, Joyce Byers and Murray Bauman from a Soviet base in Kamchatka.

- The helicopter is named after Yuri Ismaylov's ex-lover.
- The NATO reporting name for a Ka-26 was "hoodlum".
- Depending on payload, it had a ferry range of about 500 miles, meaning a flight from the Kamchatka Peninsula to Alaska (without refueling) would be impossible. It is not revealed whether Yuri had an ability to refuel, or if some other means was used to escape to Alaska.
