The Hideaway was a bar and restaurant located in Hawkins, Indiana.

1983[]
Hopper meeting with David O'Bannon at the bar.
Hopper went to the Hideaway to question David O'Bannon about his discovery of the "body" of Will Byers. When David refused to answer him, Hopper beat him up outside the back to get more information. However, Hopper was only able to get little information from David who told him that he was ordered to keep people away from the body before he noticed a black car spying on him and David, prompting David to run away when Hopper tried to confront the vehicle's driver.[1]
1984[]
Hopper met with Dr. Sam Owens at the Hideaway, where he received a forged birth certificate allowing him to officially adopt Eleven as his daughter "Jane Hopper".[2]
1985 or earlier[]
At an unknown date in 1985 or earlier, Hopper saw a passed-out Larry Kline in the Hideaway with "powder all over" his nose.[3]

- The Hideaway is not to be confused with "the Hideout", the bar where Corroded Coffin would sometimes play.[4]
- The interior shots for the Hideaway are filmed at Smokin' Cues, 112 N Berry Street, Stockbridge GA. The bar is in close proximity to other filming locations, such as Patrick Henry High School (used for both Hawkins Middle and Hawkins High School).
