In 2005, Van Dien appeared with her family in the reality series, I Married A Princess, which aired on the Lifetime Television channel in the United States.[1] Van Dien played several small roles in her father's films throughout her childhood. Prior to formally beginning her acting career, Van Dien intended to become a writer, before discovering a passion for acting while filming Sleeping Beauty (2014).[2] Between 2015 and 2017, she appeared in several television films, independent films and had guest starring roles in the television series, Code Black and White Famous.
Grace went on to star in various indie films and projects, such as The Bad Twin and Charlie Says. During that time, she also starred in the Netflix original Greenhouse Academy. Later on, she starred in the NBC original, The Village, which was cancelled after one season.
In 2022, Van Dien guest starred in the fourth season of Stranger Things, portraying Chrissy Cunningham in the season's premiere. That same year, Van Dien began streaming and playing video games over Twitch, reaching over 200,000 followers within three months of starting her channel.[3]
In March 2023, Van Dien stated she would focus on streaming over acting for the time being, after having been sexually propositioned during a movie shoot.[4]

- In part due to the confusion surrounding Eddie Munson and Chrissy Cunningham's ages, Van Dien was subjected to months of harassment and a smear campaign due to her vocal support for the pairing of Eddie and Chrissy. Joseph Quinn condemned the harassment, stating, "I was talking to her about it. The internet is a very unforgiving place. It's a place where people can show a lot of support, or where people can rally around hatred and misinformation. It's indicative of where we are culturally – just through association she was getting lambasted. It's disgusting. I don't know what to say other than it sucks."[5][6][7][8][9]
