Finn Wolfhard (born December 23rd, 2002) is a 16 year old Canadian actor and musician, best known for his portrayal of main character Mike Wheeler in the Netflix original television series Stranger Things.
As Finn Wolfhard started his acting career in 2013, he didn't have many roles in films and television. Portraying Mike Wheeler in Stranger Things was his first major role, a role which still continues to rise him to stardom. He made his film debut in the movie It as Richie Tozier which was released on September 8, 2017. He also voiced Player in another Netflix series Carmen Sandiego.
Music
Apart from acting, Wolfhard is also the lead vocalist and guitarist of the indie rock band Calpurnia. He made Billboard Chart debut with his band on 2018 by releasing their single "City Boy".[1] His band had also released their debut extended play "Scout".[2]
Wolfhard also portrayed a young Stefan Babcock in the music videos for the punk rock songs 'Guilt Trip' and 'Sleep in the Heat' by Canadian band PUP, also playing a young Rivers in Weezers' new cover of 'Take on Me'.
Wolfhard auditioned for Stranger Things shortly after he auditioned for the 2017 film "It". He was able to star in Stranger Things due to the movie being pushed back.[6]
Because of being very sick, Wolfhard had to film the entire audition tape for Stranger Things from his bed.[7]
