Enzo's was an Italian restaurant in Hawkins, Indiana. In a strange series of events, it would later become the codename of the Russian prison guard Dmitri Antonov.
History[]
1985[]
On June 30, 1985, Joyce Byers and Jim Hopper planned to go on a date at Enzo’s, though only Hopper showed up, greatly irritating him.
On July 4, 1985, Joyce and Jim, while in the bowels of a hidden Soviet base beneath Starcourt Mall, made new plans to go to Enzo’s that Friday at 7pm. However, their plans were derailed after Hopper got captured by Soviet forces, and was presumed deceased.
1986[]
After Hopper was transferred to a labor camp in Kamchatka, he hatched a plan with sympathetic prison guard Dmitri Antonov and smuggler Yuri Ismaylov to break him out and return him to the States. Antonov sent a cryptic letter to Joyce in which he called himself as "Enzo", knowing only Joyce would figure out the codename's meaning.
