Electroshock collars were collars used by Dr. Martin Brenner on his test subjects at Hawkins National Laboratory. He collared them when they disobeyed him or misbehaved.
History[]
1979[]
One night, test subject Two and his lackeys Three, Four, and Five physically abused test subject Eleven. Eleven soon fell unconscious. Following the incident, Dr. Martin Brenner commanded an orderly to collar Two with an electroshock collar. Dr. Brenner increased the frequency of the shock while Two continued lying. Later, Two was sent to the infirmary, where he was treated by a nurse.
1986[]
When Eleven insisted on leaving the Nina Project to save her friends from Vecna, Brenner refused to let her leave where he drugged her and collared her. Later, when the Nina Project was attacked by the U.S. Military, Dr. Brenner was shot. In his last breaths, he released Eleven from the collar, which fell onto the Nevada desert.
Description[]
The collars were white with protruding white stubs which transferred the electricity to the recipient's body. The collars were controlled by a remote, through which the shock power level could be increased or decreased.
