Dougie’s family lives at the end of a swanky cul-de-sac on the nice side of town. His family's garage is where Corroded Coffin meets to rehearse, despite his mother's complaints. He plays the backing guitar and drives a pick-up truck.
After Eddie drops out of school and temporarily stops showing up to Hellfire Club meetings, he takes charge of the club and becomes their DM.

Memorable Quotes[]
- “What are you talking about, dude?” Dougie demands. “School? Why are you worried about school when someone’s telling you that you could be famous?”
- “Screw them. If my dad had his way, I’d slip-’n’-slide straight from high school graduation into the passenger’s seat of his HVAC truck. Teague & Son until the end of the line. No stops, no detours, no way. I’m in.”
- “I called him [Mr. Lowe] a fascist because he was being a fascist.”
Trivia[]
- The novel Stranger Things: Flight of Icarus, set two years before Season 4, initially appeared to reveal that Freak 1 was Doug Teague. Though Doug Teague is also a Hellfire member and similar to Freak 1 in many respects, it was later made clear that the two were entirely separate characters: the book suggests that Doug graduated from high school before the start of Season 4, meaning he can't be the same person as Freak 1.
- Despite this distinction, the comic miniseries The Rise of Hellfire appears to conflate the two characters.
- Due to the wiki's rules surrounding canonicity, the wiki presents Doug and Freak 1 as two separate characters.[canon-rationale 1]

Canon hierarchy[]
- ↑ Multiple Tier 2 sources are in conflict, with one portraying Doug Teague and Freak 1 as two separate characters and another portraying him as the same character. On the wiki, the two are presented separately for the sake of simplicity (and because these sources are equally 'weighted' in the canon hierarchy).
