April is a side character in the comic one-shot Stranger Things: Erica the Great. She is one of Erica Sinclair's friends and a Bard in her D&D Party.

History

April lived in Hawkins, Indiana with her unnamed mother. At some point, she became friends with Erica Sinclair, Tanya and Kelly. She is very excitable.

1985

Erica invites April, Tanya and Kelly to play D&D with her. The girls are confused by what it is, but April is persuaded to come with the promise of pizza. When they arrive for the sleepover, Erica gives them their own characters and throws them into the game, confusing the girls; Erica makes April into a Wizard, and while April is excited at the idea of doing magic, she is quickly unnerved by the challenging and frustrating run that Erica pushes them into so that she can play the hero.

Disgruntled, Tanya leaves and returns with her mother's prize-winning parakeet, Eliot; April seems to know him already, as she recognizes the cage before Tanya unveils it. Her and Kelly are fascinated by the bird and don't want to return to the game, assuming that Erica would probably kill their characters anyway. Tanya and Erica argue about this, accidentally releasing the bird from his cage. Eliot flies into Miss Dorothy's house across the street, and the girls quickly retreat upstairs. April declines to help Tanya, saying that her mother told her not to go into stranger's houses, and Miss Dorothy is certainly strange to her. April is then shocked when Erica escapes out the window, climbing down her tree in order to break into Miss Dorothy's house and fetch the bird.

Tanya follows after Erica, and after the two of them accidentally release Miss Dorothy's dog as well, they return to get April and Kelly's help. The girls are convinced after Erica admits that she can't do everything herself, and together the girls catch the bird and the dog. The four of them then go to Miss Dorothy's house, and Tanya tells her that all of them worked together to catch him.

Erica then lets her friends make their own characters for D&D, and April ends up playing as a Bard.

Possibly April, in "Suzie, Do You Copy?"

• While it is not certain, it is possible that April appeared in the third season as one of Erica's unnamed friends. The friend portrayed by Victoria Seay has similar features to Kelly, including her height in regards to the other girls. In both "The Mall Rats" and "The Case of the Missing Lifeguard," Seay's character can also be seen with a high ponytail very similar to April's.
