So we all know that Mike and Jane are in a relationship right, WRONG. Mike has always liked Jane from the start but thats because he is part of Hawkins lab. Karen (Mike’s mom) has cheated on Ted with Billy so Karen might have got together with Brenner, so that means Brenner is Mikes dad. Which leads to Brenner letting Mike work for Hawkins lab. Mike wanted to be in a relationship with Jane because Hawkins lab was looking for her. In season 3 Lucas and Mike are talking about how their girlfriends break up with them well you see, Mike knew that Jane would be watching him. The reason why Mike can never say I love you to Jane is because he doesn’t REALLY like her. In Nancy’s vision she says that her whole family is dead, well if that does happen Mike or Karen will tell Jane. If you look closely when Mike sees Brenners body he looks a bit sad and confused, making it seem like Brenner really was Mikes dad.
