Every fandom is eventually destined to be toxic, there will always be bad people and bad sides to a fandom. No fandom is truly safe from toxicity. Nothing can be gatekept enough to keep people you don't want out and nothing stays the same forever. But since the outcome of a toxic fandom is basically inevitable, it's better to focus on the better parts and ignore the bad ones!
