That's something I've always wondered. Did they release her when she got old enough, thinking she'd be a pawn but things went wrong? Did she escape? But then, why were the tunnels never blocked off and why was it never mentioned that someone else was able to escape?

And exactly what kind of message would that send? Don't bother working through your trauma because you'll die from it anyway and there's no real way to heal? Killing off Max would've been a bad move from a writing standpoint

I'm not saying Will and Mike will be endgame, I highly doubt that. All I'm saying is that Will has some kind of crush on Mike. Just because you have a crush doesn't mean youre definitely going to get with somebody. It's quite common for closeted gay people to have secret crushes especially on their friends, obviously there wont be much development because it's a secret

That's how abusers are. They claim they love someone yet treat them horribly. When they're gone and there's no one for them to control, they don't have a purpose anymore.

I think wills arc will definitely include him confessing to Mike and being rejected. This will show will that he doesn't need a partner to be happy and his relationship with Mike is stronger than that. It'll be a lot about identity and finding yourself in friendships with others.
