Still think Eddie's was sadder, max 'died' loved, dont get me wrong it was obviously sad but she is in a coma. Eleven brung her back to life. Comparing that to Eddie who died hated and only dustin who only seemed to care made it even more sad. The group didn't even react they just moved on. also his speech before he died.
So you think the only people who liked him where sat at his table? there were other metal heads and other outcasts who were in the room and around the school, it was the 80s!! some people were just ignoring him as he was being a drama king doesn't mean everyone in the universe hated him

Lucas was upset for max, yes he was shocked at Jasons death but 5 minutes ago Jason was literally strangling him trying to kill him. Jason broke the headphones so max had no way out. I highly doubt Lucas was upset over him
Steve said that to Dustin in a joke way as that’s what they do, when he was with eddie he was never mean to him.
Calling someone a freak seems like bullying to me and I bet Jason and his friends have done a lot more which led eddie to call them out in the cafeteria.
