@BobNewby78 If it’s base Billy, he could NOT beat Hopper in a fight. Flayed Billy on the other hand…
Nah, we have to see how the town reacts to him just popping up again lol
The poll is currently 59% to 40%. How does that make sense lol
@Vanessa.A.J.001 Yes ma’am
@PresidentSmith609 Or hell, we could possibly see a fan theory that’s been floating around for a while: Vecna was the one behind the abduction of Will. It’s why the lock to the Byers’ house was opened and how the OG Demogorgon was able to move around so freely.
@Averhoes My guess is the Upside Down.
@PresidentSmith609 There’s no way in hell Vecna is getting a redemption arc. He was pure evil before his transformation and he’s continued to be pure evil up until the end of S4. He literally killed his mother and sister for absolutely no reason.
Disclaimer: me personally, I have never seen anything wrong with Mike’s behavior in the series itself. It’s more so the writers treating him like crap since S1 and digging his grave, so I’m honestly not sure why people are mad at his actions and not the writers. And to be completely honest his actions aren’t even that bad when you put them into context.
But let’s just ask one simply question for now: is there a way for the writers to redeem Mike in S5? Is there any possible way he can crawl back from the depths of character assassination and return to what made him special in S1? Is there anyway to get the majority of the fanbase back on his side? And is there a firm way to solidify him as the heart of the party?
I think there is. What do you guys think?
(If this post gets enough replies, I’ll explain how I think they can redeem him).
It’s obviously an Alaskan Malamute
Or it could just be foreshadowing for the final season. We could see the gang go up against an actual Dragon from the Upside Down — the Dragon acting as an ultimate weapon of Vecna’s. Nancy alludes to something similar when recounting the vision of the future Vecna showed her. We’ve already seen a dark cloud looming over Hawkins and downtown on fire — as shown in the finale — but we never saw the hundreds of monsters (presumably Demogorgons, Demodogs, and Demobats) invading, nor did we see the giant monster with a “gaping mouth.” Yes, you could make the argument that it could’ve been the Demogorgon or the Mind Flayer. But if Nancy really saw that, why couldn’t she just say it was the Demogorgon? She knows what it looks like. And the Mind Flayer’s shadow form did not have a gaping mouth, only it’s proxy body. I have a positive feeling about a Dragon showing up in S5.
Season 5 is about to be insane. 💯🔥
Definitely Jake. He was fully aware of the damage he was inflicting upon Eleven, and while Jason’s actions have been…very questionable, he’s only trying to seek revenge for the gruesome murder of his girlfriend. Add on to the fact that Satanic Panic was sweeping across the country, you could see why he would jump to the conclusion that these murders were actually ritualistic, demonic sacrifices perpetrated by the Hellfire Club.
This is the part I still don’t understand; if Vecna was sent to the Upside Down in 1979, how come the Upside Down is apparently frozen in time on the same day Will disappeared
I’m on Episode 4
It’s amazing. It’s beautiful. It’s *chef’s kiss*
@OmegaFramework well that may be. Unless Owens vouches for Eleven and somehow convinces everyone that her and the gang can stop the threat, along with addition numbers if they show up
@MikeWheelerFan I agree, but I think 1 is my second favorite option
@The345bob I am as well. However, I personally think that any of these ideas could potentially play out in an interesting way. I’m sure the series isn’t going to forget about the Mind Flayer entirely; the villain who pulled the strings behind the past 2 seasons can’t just disappear.
Season 4 is less than a month from releasing, and with the season now having a new villain in the form of Vecna, I’m wondering one thing: where is The Mind Flayer? Sure, it’s Proxy body was destroyed at the end of S3, but its Upside Down form is supposedly still alive. Since it’s confirmed the The Mind Flayer and Vecna are two different entities, I have 3 theories:
1. Vecna is The Mind Flayer’s master and in a shocking twist destroys it sometime during the season. I think this could be the case because we hear Vecna in the trailer say, “You’ve broken everything. Your suffering is almost at an end.” Who is he talking to? My guess is The Mind Flayer because if Vecna is its master, than The Mind Flayer has already failed to conquer the earth multiple times, and Vecna is getting tired of it. This leads to him killing The Mind Flayer and becoming the ultimate big bad of the series’ final stretch.
2. Both are opposing factions to one another; The Mind Flayer is gathering up his army of Demogorgons and Demodogs, while Vecna gathers his army of Demobats. Dr. Owens says a war is coming so what if the twist is that it’s a civil war in the Upside Down between these two? Their battles could potentially spill out into the real world, causing mass confusion and, as Max said, “total disaster.”
3. The Mind Flayer and Vecna both don’t know the other exists, but become aware of one another sometime during the season. This could lead to a massive finale in S5, where Vecna and The Mind Flayer team up to conquer the earth. This forces Eleven to rally other numbers from Hawkins lab together, including Kali, in order to stop this massive threat from destroying humanity.
Sorry about the essay, but those are just my theories
