I waited until the first 5 minutes came out before posting this, but here goes...

Theory 1: Demogorgons & Project MKUltra

I believe that the first generation of Demogorgons were members of Project MKUltra. This is mostly due to the fact that Demogorgon bodies are too coincidentally similar to the human anatomy. I think it was certainly a failed project by Brenner, especially to silence the testees. I think Terry was excluded because she had obviously already been very vocal about the project since even before they could do anything to her. This also supports the popular theory that Dr. Brenner knew about Dimension X well before the 1979 incident between 011 and 001.

Theory 2: Upside Down & the future

Now, this is a very popular theory, but I wanted to expand it a bit. The basic theory is that the Upside Down is what will happen to Hawkins/the world in the future. My theory expands to the idea that Dimension X is an even further future state of the planet as a whole, and whatever happened in 1983 caused a paradox that created a dimension which replicates the earlier future of what the world would become, but limited to Hawkins for a reason to be told. Now this theory dictates that Season 5's plot will not only be killing Vecna, but also stopping Vecna from causing the very event that will lead to the Earth's state becoming that of the Upside Down and, eventually, Dimension X. So, essentially, Vecna would be trying to cause an incident that leads to a future which is also the past that led to his creation & power.

Before I begin my theory, I want to disclaim: this theory is based on the Mind Flayer being the final villain, and it will feature heavily in Byler, so people who are against Byler and don't consider the Mind Flayer a major villain will find this post extremely uninteresting.

So, I have a theory that Eleven and Hopper will fight 001, and as the fight progresses, Vecna ​​will lose. When 001 realizes he's going to die, he'll show Eleven a vision of Mike confessing his love to Will (the vision will be true). This will break Eleven, and in her anger, she'll finish off Vecna ​​and absorb his powers. And so, victory seems assured, but the Mind Flayer appears in its true form, a 150-meter-tall octopus-like creature, and kills Hopper. Jane is completely broken; she no longer wants to live, her only desire is to kill the Mind Flayer. She forces the entire massive mass of particles into the UpsideDown, and the portal closes forever, but Eleven can't handle the strain and stress and dies.

I'm warning you, this post will be extremely long and will contain many spoilers.

Let's start by reviewing the series' premise, specifically Henry Creel's monologue. I quote: At first, I thought you sent me to my death, to purgatory, but then I realized it was a world that humans hadn't managed to corrupt. I became an explorer, and one day, I discovered the most extraordinary thing of all, the thing that could change everything. It gave me the opportunity to realize my potential, to transcend the boundaries of human form, to become the predator I was born to be. After this, we see Henry transform a living particle storm into the Mind Flayer. Many mistakenly believe Henry created these particles, but no, the Mind Flayer has always existed in this dimension. To summarize, Henry found the Shadow Monster and shaped it, giving it purpose and motivation. I'd also like to point out that Vecna ​​didn't explicitly say he controlled the Shadow. When he said he transcended the human body, he meant he tapped into the hive mind and was able to remotely control the Demogorgons, Demobats, and Tentacles. Their relationship with the Shadow Monster is unknown, but it's safe to say he partially controlled the Meat Flayer.

Now consider the plot of the play "First Shadow," which is also canon. Here, we're clearly told that Geri wasn't always a sadistic, human-hating psychopath; he was corrupted by the Shadow Monster, and the particles infected Henry's blood, giving him abilities. Henry was also shown to have a girlfriend, Patty, whom he tried to protect from Brenner and the Mind Flayer. However, it's not entirely clear whether the Shadow completely possessed Henry or whether Henry was able to resist it (which is unlikely). The play's conclusion: the Mind Flayer is the rightful ruler of Dimension X and the Upside Down, Vecna ​​his victim, whom he corrupted and made his avatar.

Now let's examine the plot of the VR game, which is also canon. It's relatively simple: we're shown that the Shadow Monster and Henry work together, occupying equal positions in the hierarchy. The Mind Flayer gave Gary powers and an army, and Henry became his general. The Mind Flayer needs to take over the world, Henry needs revenge on Jane, and they help each other.

The game's conclusion: Henry and the Flayer are co-rulers of Dimension X and the Upside Down, the Mind Flayer is the source of power and energy, and Henry is a strategist and genius.

Now the final conclusion: who is the real main villain? The answer is both of them. If you kill the Shadow Monster, all the demogorgons, tentacles, demobats, the entire Upside Down, Dimension X, and Vecna ​​will die. But if you kill Vecna ​​and close the portal, the Mind Flayer will no longer be able to enter our world, leaving it without a counterfeit.

I feel like the form of the head is a little off, but other than that I am pretty satisfied with how it turned out

I'm not really sure if the picture is clear but in it you can see a person unconscious. Me (and other people of twitter) have speculated that it is Will Byers as the white shoes seem to be identical to his BTS pictures from a few months ago.... You can also faintly see another person next to him which is probably Joyce.

In the yellow circle, you can see Derek appearing to be 'floating' in the air. His last name is revealed to be Turnbow and the name of the third episode is "The Turnbow Trap". Do you think that Vecna will use Derek as a distraction/use him to threaten the group??

In the blue circle, I don't know if it's just me but it appears as Will Byers is possessed and is in one of Vecna's visions. His body seems still, his hands fall flat and he seems to be looking straight ahead/ slightly up. Maybe he's possesed and maybe was forced by Vecna to make Derek float?? We already have some leaks that Vecna will try and team up with Will this season so it's not unlikely.

I personally also think that the starting clip of the teaser is a scene in which Will comes out in. I think that Joyce is trying to comfort Will by reminding him about how worried she was when he went missing, and that she will love him no matter what. It's kind of a parallel to Jonathan's speech in S4. Will is 99% going to get atleast a coming out scene this season.... (if not the show is going to get even more accusations of queer-baiting)....

MY OPINION ON THE TEASER-

It really built up the stage for S5... especially Noah's screams of "RUN". I've seen people hating on Noah for his acting (and while I don't support his actions as a person) his acting was phenomenal !! I just think that the angle was weird imo.

I think it's kind of clear that 11 is going to be separated from the core 4 for atleast a few episodes this season. Was it just me, or was like the lighting different compared to the first 4 seasons?? I guess it's more dark and melancholy?? Anyways... as a Will Byers stan I was happy with the trailer :))

So... what are your theories and thoughts on the teaser of Season 5?? I would love to hear them in the comments !!

If you're going off solely Season IV, it puts Vecna/Henry as the main antagonist and the Mind Flayer being the greater antagonistic force turned weapon by Vecna/Henry, but the First Shadow's release, it seemed to have flipped, with Henry/Vecna being secondary antagonist and the mind flayer being the main but later comments by the duffer brothers clarified that HENRY was the main antagonist of the show?

How do y'all think it works?

My current theory more or less is that it's a mix- the Mind Flayer's predecessor from Dimension X is what gave Henry his powers, but it was Henry, and his own emotions that created the Mind Flayer that we see in the show- meaning Henry/Vecna IS the main antagonist, while the mind flayer is the overarching antagonistic force, but otherwise secondary antagonist due to being more of a persona of Henry/Vecna.

So you guys have probably already heard this theory but here it is anyway. Mrs. Kelly has a key shaped necklace that looks like a clock. And there is a lock on vecnas clock. Although there are many theories about this just wanted to mention that usually when you open a grandfather clock like that, you open it like that to change the time on the clock. Could this be hinting at time travel? And why does Mrs. Kelly have it? Thoughts?

I keep having REALLY bad nosebleeds.. is it because of the weather, or Vecna is going to kill me?
