Long rant, here we go-

Standing at number 5, we have Sam Owens. A very interesting character who I would have LOVED to see more of. I liked his whole vibe and I would have enjoyed knowing more about his character. A very funny guy and an absolute G. ✊

At number 4, we have good old Dmitri Antonov (more known as Enzo). What an absolute LEGEND. I know he was a bit of an arsehole in the first bit of S4, but we all have to love that one guy. Like Owens, I would like to know a bit more about his character, because oh my days, he was HELLA lot better than Yuri.

Number 3 is Erica Sinclair, the girl-boss HERSELF! She is right, you cannot spell America without Erica. What is not to enjoy? She's sassy, she's a nerd AND BEST OF ALL, she liked My Little Pony. LIKE THAT MAKES HER AUTOMATICALLY COOL IN MY BOOK. /j

At number 2, there is ARGYLE, OUR FAVOURITE STONER MAN. As a person who likes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I can proudly say with joy that Argyle is Michelangelo if he was human and lived in California. Considering Mikey is my second favourite NT, he's in my top 3, IMMEDIATELY.

Number 1 goes to my all time favourite, the all time GOAT... Murray Bauman. OOOLALAAAA 😍😍 (kidding KIDDING IM KIDDING IM KIDIDNSH). Murray is hilarious. He's funny, he's smart, and I do tend to like the 'said to be crazy but really not that crazy' conspiracy theorists. I especially liked him in S4, since A: That was when we saw him the most. And B: I'm glad I got to see 'Russian disguise' Murray again like in S3. He takes the cake out of my favourite characters just because he's... Well, he's Murray. <33

(Almost done re-watching Season 4 after binge-watching Stranger Things in the span of a few weeks, so these opinions of mine are on up-to-date knowledge)

So we know that Dr Owens was left alone in Nevada,here’s what I think happened: Sullivan was told of eleven’s escape attempt and left the base. Owens was still stuck in the base and managed to break the handcuffs, he makes a run for it with a dead soldiers gun. Sullivan is long gone and Owens is only stopped by a pair of soldiers, they’re relaxed and aren’t aware that anyone is left alive in the base. He manages to get the jump on one, shoots them in the chest, the other springs to their feet and runs for their gun. Owens opens fire and hits them in the leg. Before, they can get up. Owens runs off and makes it outside. He sees Brenner sprawled out on the sand and walks over. He attempts CPR but soon realises that Brenner is long dead. He finds a shovel in one of the abandoned trucks. And starts to dig. He lifts Brenner’s body and dumps it in the hole. “I forgive you” he whispers. “But now you must rest, doc”. Owens staggers away and climbs into one of the trucks. He drives off, to the nearest airport. He knows that Hawkins is in danger and that Eleven, the chief and their friends will need help, he doesn’t know how to help all he knows is that Sullivan and 001 must be stopped.

Idk but I’ve always enjoyed the idea that Owens has a lot more of a kick to him then we’ve seen.

Last time we saw him, he was handcuffed to a pipe in the Nina bunker. The military was there so he could’ve been arrested.

So recently I've seen a lot of videos hating on Dr. Owens, and I don't know why. I get that he's kind of forgettable but he doesn't deserve to be, but he really shouldn't be hated on like this when he did so much for the Party & co. when anyone else in his position would never. Idk if anyone remembers, but a couple of months ago I wrote these posts about Stranger Things without certain characters but I got too busy and had to stop them, but I think I need to do this for Dr. Owens.

I'll skip forward to 1984 because before then Dr. Owens had no role in the Stranger Things universe. Firstly, if Dr. Owens didn't exist, someone else from the Department of Energy (if Hawkins Lab is really run by the DOE) would be the Head of Hawkins Lab in 1984, and they would be taking care of Will's now-memories. Based on the rest of the Hawkins Lab staff, I believe they wouldn't care about Will's safety, and they absolutely would not help Hopper investigate the pumpkin patch. But the biggest problem would be when Will is taken to Hawkins Lab after his episode in the pumpkin patch. Without Dr. Owens, the soldiers would burn the Hawkins tunnel system and unfortunately, Will would die. The Mind Flayer fragment would exit its lifeless host and take up refuge at Brimborn Steelworks as we know it did. And without Will, Eleven wouldn't know that she should close the Gate. So she wouldn't. And of course, the Vecna would attack through the Mind Flayer with all of the Upside Down's forces; Demogorgons, Demodogs, Demobats, vines, everything. We know that's what he planned on doing.

I hope this showed the importance of Dr. Sam Owens in Stranger Things.

Dr. Martin Brenner: Dr. Brenner was born to an upper-class family in Washington D.C. He was an excellent student, and got extremely interested in science. He started doing experiments from a very young age. His parents were proud of him, but secretly, some of his experiments were immoral, involving animal torture. Dr. Brenner graduated from Harvard with a major in neuroscience, and got a job in the U.S. Government's Department of Energy. He created a laboratory in his basement, continuing to carry out his immoral experiments. Once his parents found out, Brenner accepted a job offer in Indiana and moved there, wanting to never face his parents again. After moving to Indiana, Dr. Brenner started working at Hawkins National Laboratory. About two decades later, he became involved in the Project MKUltra, and met Terry Ives when the project was hosted at Indiana University.

Dr. Sam Owens: Dr. Owens spent his entire childhood in Hawkins, Indiana.. Owens often noticed strange happenings around town, such as a weird slug-like creature with tiny legs in his backyard which he knew wasn't a slug, reptile or amphibian. However, his parents and friends disregarded him. After the incident with the slug-like creature, Dr. Owens got a newfound interest in biology. He researched ecosystems and zoological balance, and eventually graduated from Indiana University with a major in biology, and after working privately and traveling the globe for some years, he got a job in the Department of Energy. He started working at Hawkins Lab, but he got suspicious; there were two entire floors of the lab where most of the personnel could not go.

Sorry they're so short :(

This is a new series of posts im gonna be doing, Stranger Things without each of the main characters. Character 1: Jane Hopper.

Henry is born to Victor & Virginia Creel with telekinetic powers, and kills his mother and sister at the Creel House of Hawkins, Indiana in 1959, with his father blamed and his own death faked as well. He is sent to Hawkins National Laboratory where he is dubbed "001" by Dr. Martin Brenner. A chip called the "Soteria" is implanted into his neck, stopping his powers and tracking him. He matures into an adult and works as an orderly at the lab, supervising sixteen other test subjects; Two, Three, Four, Five and so on.

This is where the difference starts.

He eventually sees potential in number Two, and thinks up an elaborate scheme to escape the lab. He tells Two how to escape, and in return, Two forces out the Soteria from One's neck. Afterwards, they are intercepted by the lab guards, which prompts One to massacre the entire lab. Two sees the incident, and when One offers Two to join him in "reshaping the world", he accepts. The two flee the lab and head out into Mirkwood. Then, they head to the nearest house they find; the Byers House. There, they find the Byers family; Joyce, Lonnie, Will and Jonathan Byers. Lonnie and Joyce were arguing, when One and Two barged into the house and killed the four. They then went into the main town of Hawkins, breaking into houses and killing people, including the Harrington family, until the police was called. Some officers were killed, but before long, One and Two were shot and killed. Investigation by the Police Chief Jim Hopper eventually led to him connecting the incident to Hawkins Lab. Dr. Brenner and his surviving colleagues were revealed and locked up in jail, replaced by Dr. Sam Owens. Hawkins, Indiana became a quiet town once again.

Since Sean Astin (Bob), Winona Ryder (Joyce) and Paul Reiser (Owens), Robert Englund (Victor Creel) and Mathew Modine (Brenner) all acted during the 80s, would their characters in the different movies they played be replaced by another actor since they exist as their ST character? Like it would be weird for Bob to be watching The Goonies and have Mikey look exactly like his childhood self.
