I'm curious why not Season 1?

I have to say she is a great character

And she is the best mother in the show

She’s absolutely awesome, so caring, such a good mother and a very underrated character.

I don't know, I have a baby sister (7yo) who went missing for just an hour, and my family freaked out. I can't imagine how I would feel if she disappeared for days, let alone a week. And then throw in the presence of a monster... I understand Joyce's terror and her willingness to try anything, even at the risk of being called crazy.

I love Joyce she is the only responsible parent except for when Hopper took care of 11.
