The name of Stranger Things season five episode one is The Crawl, as revealed by the Duffer Brothers on Stranger Things Day. I was recently rewatching the last episode of season four (The Piggyback), and I realized that Steve and Nancy were talking about Steve's experience of learning to crawl while they were in the woods on their way to The Creel House in the Upside-Down. The conversation started by Nancy saying that Robin took longer to learn to walk than other babies, which led Steve to share his story about learning to crawl. He said that he used to crawl backwards until he fell down stairs and bumped his head, which taught him to crawl forward so it wouldn't happen again. Then, he used his experience of learning to crawl forward as a metaphor for change and growth, and he thanked Nancy for "giving his head the biggest thump of its life" two years ago, when she broke up with him. So, I think that the first episode of season five, "The Crawl", could be a metaphor for change and growth, just like it was in the last episode of season four.
