When i heard “Every Breath You Take” I thought it sounded like a song that a stalker would sing (no offence to all the people that really like that song)

^ I don't really like it, I find the riff amazing for a pop song (which tend to be simple and commercial). However, I do agree with you that the lyrics from many songs are quite scary, just look at Your Love, from The Outfield, which literally says "I just wanna use your love tonight".

Luckily, that's not the kind of music I often listen to. I've found on metal really great lyrics about ancient battles, medieval stories and of course wizards and dragons.

I had the part of the song stuck in my head yesterday just saying “I’m watching you.”
