If max wake up I have 2.5 theoys
1. she is blind and parlyzed. She is already shown as parrlyzed when she tells lucas in finale of season 4 "I can't see or feel anything" I'm guessing if he won't get her sight back but maybe she won't be as phycial problematic.
2. She won't rember anything. As shown when eleven visits her in the season4 finale she dose not see anything. This could show she is brain dead, or symbolize the max we know is gone. A good thing the show might do is have her slowly retain her memory and maybe by the final ep she will rember it all and can reveal a piece of imfo that saves the day or something like that
2 and a half. This is not really half do do with max after she wakes up, but if she does not wake up early in season 5 she will wake up in the final ep and she will be ready to help fight

Their is something going around on tik tok that bill will be back somehow in season 5 because his lining plate number was something like "235" at least included the didgts 235 next to each and he was in season 2 and 3, so maybe season 5 too. What if he comes back from the dead and some how wakes up max. Or they work together. It would be so cute
