I think it depends on what you mean by overhated. On her own, as a character, she doesn't have any redeemable qualities, she's not likable. She's a brat and a bully. So, it makes sense that pretty much everyone would hate her. Does she deserve to be liked? I don't think so. But pple attempt to compare her actions to Billy's or Neil's which just doesn't make sense. Angela's just a highschool bully. Billy and Neil are abusive. Neil, especially. Comparing Angela to the likes of Neil is just insane. Neil is a grown adult who abused his wife and son.

So as a character, no I don't think she's overhated. But the fact that pple compare her to Billy and Neil blows my mind and she is nowhere near as bad as them imo.

She doesn't really have any redeemable qualities but people consider her more evil than literally anybody else. Outside this platform, I have seen a lot of either Jason or Angela being considered extremely evil. What about Vecna, Brenner or to a lesser extent Sullivan? Pretty crazy

Angela is not an overhated character

She's not a nice person, but she's not like the violent and abusive Neil and Billy either, I feel like the fandom hates her for the right reasons.

No not really she may be mean but she wasn't like as abusive as Billy, And i feel like if she was in the 5 season and saw El Using her powers she would probably understand why El was trying to 'Hurt' her putting her hand up in defense. And look i don't hate her i just dislike her because she hurt El in many different ways, But El shouldn't have hit Angela with that roller-skate Because Eleven caused Angela to get a 2 grade concussion. But i'm mostly going to defend Eleven because of what happened when she was younger and also because she didn't get a childhood and loving parents to raise her.

I don’t like her of course, but she’s extremely overhated because of the fact that some compare her to the likes of Billy, Neil, Troy, and other bullies whose actions went beyond comprehension. I’m tired of seeing all these polls where people are asked “who’s the worst character?” and pick Angela, rather than a racist abuser like Billy or a literal teenage serial killer like Vecna. Sometimes, people forget that she was just an insecure high school bully. Her actions could be solved with a sincere apology and an explanation - can’t say the same for the others she’s compared to.
