Byler is canon,Mike is overhated,and El is overated.Oh also s2 is one of the best seasons

S3 is the worst season imo. It's not necessarily bad but there are a lot of problems I had with it. Relationships were treated too light-heartedly and unrealistically, some characters behaved really out-of-character (like Mike and Karen), and the whole mystery aspect was kinda gone.

And I have a few unpopular opinions, so I’ll just drop a quick list:

• Jason is grossly misunderstood and way overhated. The fact that fans compare him to Billy really frustrates me, because it’s like comparing a naughty puppy to a violent werewolf. Jason was no where near as demeaning, cruel, or arrogant as Billy. Anyways, I could go on, but I’ll stop here lol.

• I absolutely agree that Lucas is by far the best member of the party. I love him to pieces. Mike, on the other hand, is my absolute least favorite member. I have my reasons for both opinions, but I won’t go into that here, haha.

• I have an extremely hard time understanding why everyone loves Jancy so much, and—to my greatest surprise—why everyone hates Stancy with every fiber of their being. I’ve yet to hear a good argument from anyone about why Stancy is such a terrible ship and why Jancy is so deserving of any validation. So I’d love to hear from you guys who have opinions on these ships, lol. I want to understand.

• Eddie, Eddie, Eddie. I can’t understand the hype at ALL. I mean, he’s okay, I guess. He’s a quirky, eccentric character—but he doesn’t strike me as this incredible character who deserves all of the hype that fans have given him. His death scene was nothing short of disappointing. I didn’t shed a tear. I thought the fact that he just ran out into a horde of bats that he knew he couldn’t survive from wasn’t heroic, but stupid. That’s just my opinion, though.

• Murray is the best adult character, no questions asked. End of discussion.

• I don’t mind Byler—however, I have lots of theories and a really strong belief that Byler will NOT happen in S5. I won’t go into the reasons why I believe this, but it’s an idea that I’ve held for a really long time.

• Kali Prasad should NOT DEFINE A SEASON. Everyone says that S2 is the worst season because of Kali alone, and I have a strong defense on her behalf—Kali has so much potential, so much unsaid history. I actually really like her as a character, and I’ve always held hope that she would return, and that—more importantly—the Duffer Brothers would write her into the plot of the story better than they did before.

S1 & S2 were much better than S3 & S4

Angela is annoying but Troy is so much worse even tho a lot of ppl say she’s worse

Mileven is toxic

Eleven saying Mike doesn’t understand how she feels was super insensitive bc Troy made him almost kill himself while Angela just threw milkshakes at her

• Mike's trauma is overlooked.

• Eleven and Eddie are overrated.

• Eleven not understanding that Mike was also bullied.

• Mileven isn't toxic, they just need to understand eachother better.

• Angela isn't worse than Troy.

• Billy is a terrible person no matter how much people say he's "hot".

• Lucas is probably the best character of the party.

• Steve should move on from Nancy, she clearly doesn't love him anymore.

• Mike isn't a bad friend or boyfriend, he's only 14 years old.

• Patrick's trauma is overlooked.

• Max didn't deserve to die, she's only a teenager.

I’m always happy to hear that someone doesn’t blame Kali’s presence as being the sole reason for the hate generated towards S2, haha—but what are your thoughts as to why S2 wasn’t good on its own?

• The Lost sister was a decent episode, it just tossed the original outline of episodes we were used to which yes, might be why people hate it so much. But the whole Eleven and Kali storyline deserved that much screen time. It was interesting and I was intrigued.

• Nancy is judged too much based on her love life. She cheated, yes, but only partly because the relationship she was in was toxic. Her breakup with Steve was beyond normal, she just realized she didn't love Steve anymore and she was going through the grief of losing her best friend and all the other trauma, which is why it got ahead of herself and why she started a relationship with Jonathan-they related to each other, and when they finally moved on a little-they didn't need each other to feel better anymore, which is why their relationship is now in a very awkward state.

• Angela is overhated. Sure, she said some stuff that just blew up my moral standards, but saying she was worse than Neil or Troy? Worse than Brenner? She's just an extremely mean high school bully. Nothing more!

• S4 was out there and I didn't like it. It made things bigger and complicated way too quickly, and watching it honestly made me feel overwhelmed.

Billy was a racist terrible human and wouldn’t have ever changed if not for the Mind Flayer. He’s not a good person, no matter how sad his background. Byler is talked about too much. Lucas was the best party member in season 4. Jason is misunderstood and deserved better.
