Why are they not even mentioned in season 4? Starcourt Mall is where everything happened, Grigori is basically the reason Hopper was in Russia, and Murray had such a great bond with Alexei.

The entire season 4 would’ve never happened if it wasn’t for starcourt
Well Starcourt mall was mentioned, but not directly. When Eleven talked about Hopper to the class, she says that he died in mall fire, that mall is referring to Starcourt.
For the others, well it was 6 months later, so they probably just didn’t mention it.
That’s a great question. I mean, in S4 there are visual flashbacks to the Starcourt mall—an example of this would be when Max is facing Billy under Vecna’s curse, and those vivid memories return in full force. But yeah—verbally, there was absolutely nothing, which is a shame. And Alexei didn’t get any sort of honorable mention—let alone a brief recollection. That’s the only disappointment I have with Murray.
I wished it explained how the f*ck an entire company of Soviets were able to make their way into INDIANA undetected and set up their Barbie Dream base underneath a mall without anybody knowing
^Even with the mayor's help, that's still a pretty impressive feat to smuggle Soviet soldiers past the U.S. Army.
Past border control, crossed several states. Did they ship all that equipment from Russia or did they buy it from America? Also if they did get the materials from the US, would the authorities get suspicious? Since it's the Cold War, why would they not question military based Russians to enter US soil? Even with Kline's help, he is just a small town mayor after all. And NO ONE even questions the armed guards at the mall with Russian weapons during the scene with the Scoop Troop watching the Russians on top of a roof in the rain.
What do you think?
