So the word ‘yes’ has lots of meaning to Will and Mike. Will’s first word to Mike was yes after Mike asked to be friends. That’s where “and you said yes” comes from.

So when the Stranger Writers say that’s a spoiler, it suggests Mike and Will’s relationship is a endgame. There was a better post explaining this, but I couldn’t find it. Hope that clears something up.
