Ive said this before but i just thought it was important to say as a byler shipper and believer, that i don’t want mike to break up with el for will.

I want el to break up with him and i want it to show a character development for her in the process. i think els story mainly focuses on family and how from the beginning she didn’t have a true family but in the end she will have hopper, joyce, will and jonathan as family and i think that shows her whole story and i feel like that’s enough. having a romantic partner i don’t think is needed to tell her story. i think els story is about family and being protected and cared for. i also think her breaking up with mike could show us that she is figuring out who she is and wants to be on her own. maybe she finds out she doesn’t need a romantic partner. i think that’d just show a lot for her character and it would also reflect on her day with max where she taught el to be herself. i think if they break up, for el it would tell the story that she only needs family and also that she learned to figure out what she really needs and who she is. i just don’t necessarily know if jumping into a relationship right after she came out of a lab she’s been living in her whole life knowing nothing much about the real world is the best idea and that family should be more of her focus and story.

If you dissagree with this i definitely understand because mileven has been built up from the beginning and it does seem like el really loves mike it’s just i think this would be a cool ending to tell els story. especially if byler is endgame, this part would be important to me.

A lot of mileven shippers say byler wouldn’t happen because of el but i believe she could really benefit from it.

While i love byler, i don’t really wanna see mike break up with el for will i feel like that’s just kinda unrealistic and it kinda just throws el aside for no reason. it’s important to me that if byler actually happens, el breaks up with mike way before, not the other way around. and i also want there to be plenty of time in between the break up and mikes realization.

I think this could show us a lot for el rather than just having mileven built up from the beginning for no reason. it could tell els story and also mikes.

As for what i want to see as the ending, i’ve already talked about it a lot but i wanna put it in here with this post.

I want el to break up with mike about half way or earlier that half way through the season and i want her to have a huge character development. i want it to have mike kind of contemplating his feelings a lot after that and really thinking about things. i want him to possibly catch onto wills feelings for him a little bit. then in the very last episode i want will to die with a very very emotional heartbreaking sacrifice and i want mikes feelings for him to be revealed to us in that way. either they confess to each other in their last minutes or after will dies mike goes and rebuilds castle byers and carves their initials after figuring out will was who he’s really in love with. (if that were the case, that’d just be how his feelings would be revealed to us.) i want el to support him all the way through too. also if will doesn’t die i want him to be at his death point almost like max and then mike confesses and it saves him. i wouldn’t want him to die and then come back alive but maybe say will gets possessed by vecna and they don’t have music so mike confesses to him saves him.

Obviously i’m not a writer for the show so i don’t know how well my ideas could turn out but these are just some of the things i could see happening if byler were to be canon.

As a byler shipper i just don’t want people to think i want will to confess to mike and then mike go break up with el for him. that’d make for a terrible and really forced ending and i just think there are multiple other ways they could write it in with it actually making sense rather than just having mike ditch el for will.

If you believe mileven will be endgame and you don’t like any of these ideas then that’s ok i completely respect that! anyways if you read this thank you so much and i’m sorry if your sick of my byler stuff aha.
