@Nah456 Brenner is evil, yet he sacrifices his life in episode 8 for Eleven, he could have gave her to the military and lived but he carried her till he dropped, the shock collar is to keep them under control so they won't go insane and start doing anything they want, he just wanted to help them

But even if he was evil, he made the story better, if it wasn't for him "kidnapping" Eleven then she probably wouldn't even have found Mike, that's what im talking about here, everyone is saying that Angela is better then everyone I listed but thats cap

Vecna is pure evil, that's what makes him a good villain and a really good character, villains need to be evil, now answer me this, who made season 4 more interesting and fun, Vecna or Angela? Then after you answer that question, tell me whos better between the two

@Romeo and Robot If Brenner was evil then he would have sold El to the military instead of risking his life saving her, he was even right when he said he wasn't ready to fight Vecna, and to be fair, Jason isn't evil but i still hate him just not as much as Angela

@Acciocookies Do I look like I'm joking? Angela is a complete terrible character, what good has she brought to the series other than crying her eyes out? (something everyone loved), Vecna started S4 by killing innocent teens, hes one of the reasons that the series became interesting and that Max and Lucas could reunite again, hes the reason why El finally got her powers back, Brenner is one of the reasons the series started, if he didn't kidnap El then she prob wouldn't even have met Mike and they wouldn't have found Will and known anything about the upside down and there would be nobody to stop Vecna. Billy being a bully was helpful given that he knocked Steves lights out and because of that the kids were able to steal his car and kill the vines, and he gave the Mind Flayer a perfect vessel, Grigori gave us epic 1v1 spars between him and Hopper, I mean who doesn't like action? and If he wasn't there to stop Hopper from shutting down the machine then they never would have traveled to Russia and they never would have killed the Demodogs, Demogorgon and a part of the MF which kind of helped the Hawkins gang beat Vecna and allowed Dustin to have his final moments with Eddie hell they might have even saved Dustins life cause the Demobats might have killed him. As for Jason, if he didn't exist then Eddie might have never Joined the gang to kill Vecna and he would have just stayed in reefer ricks house, they probably wouldn't even have made the plan cause Dustin couldn't fight Demo-Bats all on his own hell if they weren't looking for Eddie then Dustin never would have thought of the gate theory and Nancy never would have seen what Vecna showed them which kind of gave them a headstart.

They are way more relevant to the plot than Angela, their characters have meanings while Angelas doesn't, see how Angelas character is shit compared to them?

@Haider77 Yes, Vecna is pure evil and keep in mind as well that not all pure evil villains get to be hate sinks. Angela is an example of what constitutes a hate sink. There is a difference.

@DamasterW Sorry i don't know what a hate sink is, I just made this post cause I saw another post where the OP showed a poll on where Angela had more hated votes then any of theses character and I just made this post to defend them and why Angela is far more shit then them, Idk why people even compare her to Vecna, sure Vecna is cruel but at least he is cool and not cringe

You also did not specify from a plot perspective, which caused us to assume you meant moral wise.

Anyways, if we're going from that plot perspective, let's give angela some credit where it's due. she allowed us to see how difficult life was going for el without her powers. the vicarious humiliation i felt when el attempted to use her powers on her was just awful. she initiated a bullying act in rinc-o-mania, which put a dent in mike and eleven's relationship, allowing them to grow more after. el blatantly lied to mike about how many friends she had which spiralled into a fight between the pair. then, when she hit angela, she was arrested, and while being transported, owens took her from there.

Of course vecna is going to push the plot forward far more being a main protagonist, brenner began the plot in the first place, billy gave max more depth and jason didn't really do much wrong. angela is a far too insignificant character to even compare to them.

And angela is supposed to be an extremely hated character, that is her purpose. so it'd make sense for people to vote her as the worst one, especially when it doesn't specify from a writing pov.

Do you not remember what he did prior to that? i have said this before and probably will continue: carrying her out of there was the very least he could have done after what he did to her.

@Haider77 to answer your response to my comment, it’s a similar concept as billy. yes, he sacrificed himself for everyone but did that make up for his actions?? no. this absolutely goes for brenner too.

I think it’s important for people to understand that doing one good move isn’t going to make up for a lifetime of evilness.

Ofc they are better. Angela's a bully because she wanted to make ppl upset. That's the only reason. Yes, Billy was also a bully, but at least he HAD a backstory.

And then Jason? Bro wasn't even a mean guy... well, until Chrissy died. I actually can't believe there are some ppl who think Jason is worse than Billy and Angela. He's so overhated omg.

So yeah, they are all better than Angela. Btw, her name doesn't fit her at all 😭
