While it was a sweet line, I was immediately frustrated with it as it perpetuates the idea that someone can "fall in love" at first sight. The truth is, they can't. Falling in love happens when you get to know a person and spend time with them. While it's possible to be attracted to someone upon first sight, it's impossible to love them because you don't know them. As for Mike, I think he was immediately drawn to El when he saw her, but definitely not in love. That came later, as he got to know her.
