You have to click 'mark all as read' and close and reopen the app.

I'm experiencing similar problems. Try switching to a different tab, such as "music" or something, and then see if you can read them. It works for me.

I'm on mobile and I don't have the app, but it seems to work for me. I also haven't gotten many notifications since I haven't been active on here lately.
