This makes me so upset! She deserves respect! She is a wonderful person who works really had at her job. No one ever should be treated that way!

@DemigodxPotterheadxGleekerxManyMore I think her point here is that the fan explicitly ignored her polite request not to be videotaped. It wasn't a matter of avoiding publicity - like she said, she would have been willing to be in a photo with the fan. But to have someone blatantly ignore your request and treat you like a animal in a zoo cage is just too much. Celebrities are humans, too, and should have their opinions respected.

And sure, maybe situations like these are to be expected. But that doesn't mean they should be accepted. Speaking out like this and exposing the problem is one of the best ways of spreading awareness and hopefully making people think twice before harassing celebrities.

@Fisher Fan ik that. But like I said, its not all sunshine and rainbows. Things like this happen whether its accepted or not because she is famous. I get she is a human being, but do people get it? You can’t expect people to leave her alone, its the price of fame. She signed up for it, its not all positive in Hollywood either... But atleast she is safe.

Right, and I understand that. Being a celebrity is tough at times - there's no question about it. But my point is that reporting incidents like these are part of the solution to a problem that's been going on for far too long. Accepting that it's just "part of the package" and that people are bound to do it whether we like it or not is like shrugging your shoulders and looking the other direction.

No means no, and when people disregard this basic human right, someone needs to step up and challenge that. I, for one, am grateful that Millie is brave enough to be that person, and in doing so, is setting an example for generations of kids after her.

I feel bad for her

The part that makes me MOST mad about the situation is after Millie caught her filming, she said something about you can’t just film another human being like that AND A “FAN” DECIDED TO SASS MILLIE AND SAY “oh so I’m not allowed to film another human being” LIKE SHUT UP BRAT, SHE TOLD YOU NO

This makes me so sad. Millie didn't deserve this. She is a person with damn feelings, I think she says that. Still, I don't think we should be giving the person who harassed her death threats, that's a little much.

@Archerdude I know -- that's what really got me, as well. Like, what kind of fan are you? To not only disrespect the person you claim to be a fan of, but then sass them?! Truly mind-boggling.

Goodness me… this is the reason I don't like stans. Just straight up harassing people to the point where they have to LITERALLY ADMIT IT AND CRY.

This is why I freaking hate Millie stans everyone. This is why I bask in their sorrow. No Stan for any person could handle what they do to celebs. I don't wanna get all Hubie Halloween, but seriously though.
