I don’t understand either.

Everyone thinks he’s a jerk because he lied to el and it ended up backfiring as they went to the mall and saw them. It wasn’t mikes fault now that I think about it because hopper did tell mike that he needs to stay away from el so he made an excuse about nana.

I only like him in the first 2 seasons, in the 3rd season there was a few things that i didn’t like about him

@Dontjudgeme28 yes you are right it is not his fault because Hopper made him scared. Also people can lie for different reasons maybe he should say that Hopper scared him to Eleven but people can make mistakes. Anyway, ı don't hate Mike but ı don't love him like different people that ı saw everywhere. And some people hate Mike and write it everywhere (not recently). I don't love him much because ı don't feel close to him like Will or Max.

I liked him in season1 but in other seasons especially season 3 he as being a jerk to everyone. (i am not saying to El about that lie) For example Will in season 3,everyone in season 2.

Well, for me I'm all about strong women, but Mike treated El like he could use her whenever he wanted to, and she is a human being and can make her own decisions (like Max said)

@Zookalifogra yes I agree. Will was constantly ignored and his only lines in season three were pretty much just, “He’s here” or “He’s coming”. I’m really hoping will when he’s at his new school, will find a friend who understands him. Or if not, than have el step in. Can’t wait to see their bond grow as they live together.

Mike acted like a jerk in S3,but I still like him.
