Matthew Avery Modine (nacido el 22 de marzo de 1959) es un actor estadounidense. Se lo conoce por sus papeles que incluyen al Joker Privado de Full Metal Jacket , el luchador Louden Swain en Vision Quest , Sullivan Groff en Weeds y Martin Brenner en la serie de Netflix, Stranger Things.
Modine ha estado actuando desde su graduación y es también el sobrino de la actriz de escenario Nola Fairbanks. Después de su graduación, Modine se trasladó a Nueva York para seguir su sueño de arte y teatro.
Actualmente está casado con la actriz Caridad Rivera y tienen dos hijos juntos; Boman Mark Rivera Modine (nacido el 8 de noviembre de 1985) y Ruby Wylder Rivera Modine (nacido el 31 de julio de 1990).
